The Future 50 program celebrates business growth and recognizes companies and owners who are keeping the Baltimore business climate vibrant and exciting. • The Future 50 award is based upon employee growth and revenue growth over the last three years. To qualify for the Future 50, a business must be at least three years old and typically no more than ten years old. However, companies that have gone through a significant reinvention in the last three years (but are older than ten years) are also considered. • This year’s Future 50 list currently employs more than 4,200 people, up from 2,000 in 2002. The Future 50 will have combined more than $700 million in revenue in 2005, up from $211 million in 2002.
