Research and Development

Beynon Sports Surfaces’ research and development team, led by Mike Gasparovic, is committed to developing the safest and most environmentally-friendly polyurethane sports surfacing components and synthetic surfacing systems.  We adhere to the top standards for ecoconsious products, and we’re the leader in research and development of eco-products in the polyurethane sports surfacing industry. These products and athletic surfacing solutions have been rigorously tested by internal quality assurance analyses and the results have been vetted by the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) and surpass EN, DIN and ASTM standards.  Some of the testing equipment utilized in the strict adherence to quality assurance for both raw materials and finished components include:

Beynon Sports Surfaces utilizes our own Advanced Artificial Athletes to perform in-situ tests on our athletic surfaces that have been installed at major NCAA track and field arenas and fieldhouses across the country.  It is imperative that our products look and perform consistently with IAAF and NCAA standards over the life of the product.  For that reason, our 50,000 square-foot manufacturing facility is dedicated solely to research and development, production, and quality assurance of our outdoor and indoor synthetic sports surfaces.
