Comparing Beynon Sports Surfaces Track and Field Surfaces Against Rubber Sheet Goods

Here is a brief chart comparing polyurethane track and field surfaces to the many rubber sheet good products found in the market today.  As one can see, the benefits of polyurethane far outweigh prefabricated rubber sheet good products.

Ability to be Resurfaced

Resurfacing your track and field system through Beynon Sports Surfaces can extend the life of your existing track surface by 10 to 15 years at a fraction of the cost of replacement. Only Beynon Sports Surfaces specializes in the resurfacing of existing track and field facilities. Our resurfacing systems make older, worn, and hard sheet good and polyurethane systems brand new again. Only Beynon Sports Surfaces adjusts the force reduction to make the surface more user-friendly for daily training and competition.

Beynon Sports Surfaces has formulated a polyurethane primer specifically to adhere to all existing track and field surfaces to allow for full chemical adhesion of the new resurfacing system. Due to the complex nature of UV degradation, an existing track and field surface undergoes chemical changes that present a challenge for any other company to achieve substantial bond.  However, because of our understanding of the chemistry and over 20 years of extensive research and development, we can guarantee that a full chemical bond is achieved.

In order to ensure a lasting surface and chemical bond, the adhesion level needs to be at a minimum of 300 psi. Our research shows that the use of our specially formulated polyurethane primer in conjunction with the new polyurethane resurfacing system will achieve levels greater than 400 psi. Tests of our competitors’ resurfacing products have shown adhesion levels of less than 50 psi. With our history and research of resurfacing track and field systems, only Beynon Sports Surfaces can guarantee full and proper adhesion.

We can apply our resurfacing systems at the following thicknesses: 3mm+5mm, 2mm+5mm, and 5mm.
This means we apply a 3mm force reduction layer to improve the feel under the foot and correct irregularities or small planarity issues with the existing track and field surface. We then apply a 5mm resurfacing system with your choice of an embedded or encapsulated texture.
