Will Baylor University's New Track Surface Be The Fastest In Texas?

Construction at the Clyde Hart Track & Field Stadium has recently been completed. Beynon Sports was chosen by Baylor University to install the track surface at the newly constructed $18,000,000 Track and Field complex.

The full pour polyurethane surface will be considered as one of the fastest tracks in Texas! Baylor University officials chose Beynon Sports’ revolutionary BSS 2000 system with embedded texture for the track surface at the newly built complex after performing a comprehensive analysis of competing track surfaces available in the market and the stability of the manufacturer to stand behind the product. Regarded as the ultimate edge in performance, the Olympic-caliber BSS 2000 system is IAAF certified and offers athletes the highest level of control and maximum energy return. “Choosing a surfacing system that could offer the ability to train on a daily basis and compete at the highest level was a key factor for us” said Baylor University Head Track and Field Coach Todd Harbour. “Having competed on similar installations at Texas and Oregon numerous times, we were familiar with Beynon Sports’ products and the results it can provide”.

The new polyurethane surface will showcase a nine (9) lane track beautifully exposed on the banks of the Brazos River. Once completed, Baylor University will have a strong case to name their track as the fastest in Texas.

“While we take pride in every one of our installations, we were honored to be chosen by Baylor University to install the surface at the Clyde Hart Track & Field Stadium” Said Drew Beynon, COO at Beynon Sports. “This facility will offer an exceptional ground for the Bears’ competitions and daily training.”

Beynon Sports is currently the surface of choice for the University of Texas at Austin, the University of Texas at San Antonio, Texas Christian University, Trinity University, Texas State University and many other Collegiate, High School, and community facilities in the great state of Texas.
